Access IV is the procurement procedure for products other than power equipment products not currently used by TEPCO.

Model Flow

Study of the Potential Use of the Product

• For products not currently used by TEPCO, a study must be conducted to determine whether or not there is a potential use for the product. if it is determined that there is a possibility of use, TEPCO will proceed with a preliminary examination.

Request for Submission of Materials for Preliminary Examination

• TEPCO will request submission of materials that compare the proposed product to existing products in terms of performance, specifications, quality, and new technologies applied, and require explanations which pertain to the ways in which the proposed product is superior, as well as the submission of such documents as product specifications.

Technical Review and Evaluation

• Based on the materials submitted, TEPCO will hold a technical discussion and evaluate your company and product as well as conduct a comprehensive study, including evaluation of performance and cost aspects, to determine whether or not it is a material, equipment, or supply that can be used immediately by TEPCO.

Listing Company and Product Information

• If the results of the preliminary examination are positive and if the proposed product is deemed to have potential procurement by TEPCO, information on the product and on your company will be input into TEPCO's database, and will be utilized for selection of prospective suppliers.
• Information on products which have been evaluated highly, but which cannot be used immediately are input into TEPCO's database.
