Explanation of Flow

Model Flow

Study of the Potential use of the Product

  • For products not currently used by TEPCO, a study must be conducted to determine whether or not there is a potential use for the product. If it is determined that there is a potential use, TEPCO will proceed with the technical review.

Request for Submission of materials for Technical Review

  • TEPCO will request submission of materials that compare the proposed product to existing products in terms of performance, specifications, quality, and new technologies applied, and an explanation of how the proposed product is superior, as well as submission of documents such as product specifications.

Technical Review and Evaluation

  • Based on the materials submitted by your company, TEPCO will hold a technical discussion with and evaluate your company and the product being offered, as well as conduct a comprehensive study, including evaluation of reliability and costs, to determine whether of not it is a material, equipment, or supply that can be used immediately by TEPCO. If the results of the evaluation are favorable, TEPCO will begin the registration process.
  • If the product is evaluated favorably, but cannot be used immediately, information on the product will be stored in TEPCO's database.

Submission of Registration Application Form and Submission of Materials for Document Inspection

  • If your company wishes to be registered as an eligible supplier for a particular product, please fill in the necessary information in the Registration Application Form and submit the form along with the necessary materials for document inspection to the Materials & Procurement Department at TEPCO's Head Office.
  • TEPCO will not use the contents of the documentation submitted for any purpose other than inspection, selecting prospective suppliers, and conducting business with your company.

Documents and materials to be submitted (example):

  1. Registration Application Form
  2. Documents related to the overall operating condition of your company.

Document Inspection

  • Based on the documentation and materials submitted by your company, TEPCO will conduct an inspection of your company's sales, delivery system, and after-sale service. Your company will be registered if it passes the document inspection.
  • During the course of the investigation, your company may be asked to submit additional materials, or to provide further explanation or clarification.

Supplier Registration

  • After your company and your company's product have passed the inspection, your company will be registered as a supplier of that product. TEPCO will notify your company of the results in writing.
