In order to move safely and steadily forward with decommissioning, we are engaged in efforts to strengthen cooperation between TEPCO and the Nuclear Damage Compensation and Decommissioning Facilitation Corporation (NDF), R&D institutions and the government based on the roles of these organizations in order to achieve the targets put forth in the government’s Mid and Long-Term Roadmap. In April 2014, TEPCO established the Fukushima Daiichi Decontamination and Decommissioning Engineering Company in order to clarify responsibility and authority pertaining to decommissioning and quicken decision-making. And, in April 2020, internal departments were reorganized to better suit the decommissioning project. It is in this way that we are making efforts to continually optimize our efforts. We are engaging in decommissioning with the cooperation of contractors and a great many people.
