The following is an outline of the procedures required for contractors wishing to receive contract awards from TEPCO.

2. Introduction of Construction Works Categories

Introduction of Construction Works Categories Registration of qualified contractors will be made according to each one of the following construction works categories, and contractor(s) will be selected from among the registered companies.

Overhead Transmission Facilities	Less than 500kV Lines	Construction of new or additional, less than 500kV overhead transmission lines, refurbishment or repair of such transmission lines
Underground Transmission Facilities	Shielding	Construction of new or additional ducts and tunnels or refurbishment of existing ducts and tunnels, including shield method
	Cut-and-Cover, Pipe Jacking	Construction of new or additional ducts and tunnels or refurbishment of existing ducts and tunnels by cut-and-cover, or pipe jacking methods

	Tanks	Refurbishment, inspection and repair of power plant fuel tanks, etc.
	Pipelines	Construction or refurbishment of gas pipelines
