TEPCO Power Grid to Invest in Deep C Green Energy, Vietnamese Power Distribution and Retail Company

Tokyo, November 29, 2018 – TEPCO Power Grid, Inc. (TEPCO PG) and Infra Asia Investment (Hong Kong) Limited (IAI) agreed today that TEPCO PG will acquire 50% of the ordinary shares of Deep C Green Energy (Hong Kong) Limited (DCGE HK), and held a signing ceremony to conclude the share sale and purchase agreement at the Embassy of Belgium in Tokyo.
This project is TEPCO PG’s first investment in a power distribution project outside of Japan.
TEPCO PG and IAI will collaborate in power distribution and retail through DCGE HK’s wholly owned subsidiary, Deep C Green Energy (Vietnam) Limited (DCGE VN), which is a power distribution and retail company in the DEEP C industrial zones in Hai Phong City. TEPCO PG will be mainly in charge of engineering and facility construction, and IAI will be mainly in charge of facility operation and contractual matters with clients.
TEPCO PG looks forward to supplying high-quality, extra-reliable power to clients in the DEEP C industrial zones by introducing superior electricity supply based on advanced technologies and know-how from Japan.
TEPCO PG is pursuing global business expansion, one of its key growth strategies, by leveraging technologies and know-how for facility planning, operation and maintenance, as well as renewable energy usage and new services based on energy-data analysis.
