Message from the President
TEPCO Power Grid, which is engaged in power transmission and distribution, possesses extensive facilities. The steady supply of electricity is supported by human resources and technical capabilities that are deployed to maintain, manage and operate these extensive facilities.
However, we can assume that the environment surrounding power transmission and distribution companies will undergo further changes in the near future due to energy saving efforts and the expanding use of renewable energies, as well as the spread of electric vehicles, the decreasing population, over-urbanization, and depopulation of rural areas.
Operating in such an environment, we will adopt cutting-edge ICT technology and create an ever-improving corporate culture in order to achieve business operation efficiency that meets international standards. Our goal is to become a company that is more sought after by customers and the general public than ever before.
In our efforts to achieve even more growth, TEPCO aims to expand our business areas, including overseas, by making the most of technological competencies that we have cultivated, and the power transmission and distribution network that we have constructed. I believe that these types of measures will accelerate our business development through positive, proactive collaboration with various partners.
Through non-consecutive management reforms, which differ from the conventional approach, we will grow into a world-leading power transmission and distribution company and fulfill our responsibilities in Fukushima, which are the obligations of the entire TEPCO Group.
