December 28, 2023

Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc.

We would like to sincerely apologize for the concern amongst regional residents, and society as a whole, caused by the unauthorized use of an ID card and the partial loss of function to physical protection equipment at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station.

We compiled a report on the root causes of the both incidents that occurred at the aforementioned power station and improvement measure plans to address them, and submitted it to the Nuclear Regulation Agency on September 22, 2021.

(Announced on September 22, 2021)

Today, we hereby announce that we have compiled a report about the status of implementation of the improvement measures, which includes the status of efforts to address the four issues reviewed by the Nuclear Regulation Authority during additional inspections (Phase III), along with a re-evaluation of the cause analysis pertaining to the both incidents, which we have been engaged in since September 2021.

Through the improvement activities in which all personnel voluntarily engage, we will work to earn trust by the regional residents and society as a whole as a nuclear power operator, and fulfill our "responsibilities to Fukushima".
