Press Release
Status of Progress with Initiatives related to the Series of Improprieties at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station

June 10, 2021

Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc.

TEPCO would once again like to sincerely apologize for the great concern and suspicion amongst regional residents, and society as a whole, that has resulted from the incidents at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station, such as the partial incompletion of safety measure renovations, the partial loss of function to nuclear material protection equipment, and the unauthorized use of an ID card.

The attached is an update on the progress with initiatives related to the series of improprieties at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station.

TEPCO will utilize this opportunity to remember our regrets and the lessons learned from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station Accident as we aim to improve power station safety and work quality with the intent to reincarnate our power stations.
