Jul 8, 2019
FUKUSHIMA, Japan — TEPCO announced on July 8 that it has released the latest installment of its video series “Current Situation at Fukushima Daiichi NPS,” which provides updates on the situation at Fukushima Daiichi NPS, including decommissioning progress and changes in the working environment since 2011.
This latest video covers work on units 1-4 and measures for dealing with contaminated water and potential natural disasters, such as earthquakes or tsunamis. The video also introduces the plant’s working environment, including the fact that some 96% of the NPS facility can now be accessed without protective clothing.
Going forward, TEPCO will continue to disseminate timely and appropriate information to keep stakeholders informed about the company’s ongoing efforts to ensure that decommissioning work is conducted smoothly over the long term.
