On December 15, 2014, Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc. (TEPCO HD) applied for permission for changes in reactor installation in regards to facilities for handling specific severe accidents at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station, and subsequently submitted revisions of that submission to the Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) in October and December 2019, December 2020 and June 2022.
