Fuel Cost Adjustment in the Electricity Rates for May 2022

In response to today's publication of the fuel prices from December 2022 to February 2022 (trade statistics prices of crude oil, LNG, and coal), the fuel cost adjustment unit prices in the electricity rates for May 2022 have been fixed as follows.
<Reference 1> The change of the electricity rates on the average model
The electricity rate on the average model for May 2022 will be 8,505 yen, which is an increase of 146 yen compared with April 2022. It includes the fuel cost adjustment and the unit price of renewable energy power promotion surcharge for FY2022 (3.45 yen/kWh as announced by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on March 25, 2022) to be applied to the electricity rates from May 2022.
