Memorandum of Understanding with Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand on Technical Cooperation for Carbon Neutrality

Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Incorporated ("TEPCO") and Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand ("EGAT") are pleased to announce that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Technical Cooperation for Carbon Neutrality.

In order to realize a safe and sustainable society, TEPCO has been working on business development with a focus on carbon neutrality in Japan and overseas.

Amid this backdrop, TEPCO has been exchanging information with EGAT, which aims to achieve a carbon neutral society in Thailand where most of the total power generation capacity rely on fossil fuel, on carbon neutral technology cooperation. TEPCO and EGAT have agreed to further strengthen their collaborative relationship in the field of carbon neutral technology, and have signed this "Memorandum of Understanding on Technical Cooperation for Carbon Neutrality".

Based on the MOU signed yesterday, TEPCO and EGAT will exchange information, dispatch personnel, and develop joint projects in order to achieve mutual synergies and forge a carbon neutral society.
