Press Release
Predicted Date for the Restoration of the Power to TEPCO Power Grid’s Service Area Affected by Power Outages Caused by Typhoon #15 [As of 5:00 AM on September 12]

Sep 12, 2019

Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc.

We would like to deeply apologize for the great inconvenience that the loss of power resulting from Typhoon #15 has caused on the communities affected.

We expected to reduce the number of households without power in TEPCO Power Grid’s service area to 400,000 by September 11. As a result, we’ve been able to reduce to about 350,000 as of 5:00 AM on September 12.

We expect that power will be restored to all regions in Chiba City, Yachiyo City, Yotsukaido City and Inzai City, and a partial area of Ichihara City today. The predicted date of the restoration to those regions is shown in the attachment. In addition, it is expected that power will be restored to all regions later than September 12.

In the areas where power outage continues, we have deployed power supply trucks* based on the request from local governments. In order to restore power as quickly as possible, 11,000 workers including 2,400 support personnel from other electric power companies have performed inspections and made repairs in the field.

*We’ve dispatched power supply trucks preferentially to medical and public facilities including Futtsu City Hall and Tateyama City’s Kagamigaura Clean Center. 32 trucks are under operation and 88 trucks have been operated in total.
