Applications Now Being Accepted for the 4th Free Electrons Program to Discover and Develop Energy-related Startup Companies

Along with nine of the world’s leading power companies*, TEPCO HD has started accepting applications on November 4, 2019 for the 4th Free Electrons program to discover and develop startup companies that offer promising ideas and technologies in the field of power and energy.
12~15 promising startups will be selected to work with the 10 power utilities, which in total serve 82 million customers, to expand the sale of their products and services. Each utility will use its energy-related expertise, experience, and customer base to provide assistance to these startups and engage in joint projects.
In the previous program (3rd), we received applications for approximately 500 potential commercialization projects from global startups in 60 countries around the world and we worked to further commercialize with these global startup companies.
The application deadline for the program is January 31, 2020, and selectees will be announced before the end of March 2020. Please visit https://freeelectrons.org/ for more information.
