The governor of Fukushima Prefecture visited the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station

The governor of Fukushima Prefecture Uchibori visited the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station on November 1 .

He looked at the decommissioning situation on the west side hill of the Units 1-4 where radiation reduction has been progressing and inside the Unit 3 reactor building.

“I realized that decommissioning has been steadily progressing over the past year,” Mr. Uchibori said to employees of TEPCO and partner companies after the tour. “And I ask you to advance your effort toward the decommissioning steadily and safely concentrating the wisdom of the world in spite of considerable difficulty.”

We will continue to advance our efforts toward the long-term decommissioning steadily and safely under understanding and cooperation of society.
