2. Nonconformances Found in the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the
   Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake

   Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the Inspection
   and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake", the Tokyo
   Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing
   incidents information reported from April 24th to May 7th, 2008.

 ○ Incidents Information (relating to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake)
Incidents Information (relating to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake)
<Reports from Apr. 24 to May 7, 2008>
Reports from Apr. 24 to May 7, 2008
○ Other Findings • Unit No.7: Partial breakages were found on forks of 2 rotor blades on the turbine-side of 14th stage of the low-pressure turbine (B) and (C). Investigation of the causes and detailed inspection are going on (announced on March 13th, March 19th, March 27th, April 3rd, April 10th and April 17th, 2008). No damage was found based on visual inspection for forks of 512 rotor blades on the 15th and 16th stage of the low-pressure turbine (B), both of which have the same structure as those forks of rotor blades on the 14th stage (15th stage: 126 blades each on generator-side and turbine-side; 16th stage: 130 blades each on generator-side and turbine-side). Non-destructive inspection conducted for forks of 260 rotor blades of 16th stage of the low-pressure turbine (B) resulted in indications on the fork of 18 rotor blades on the generator-side and 19 rotor blades on the turbine-side. Investigation on the cause of the damages and the indications on the forks of rotor blades will be continued. Non-destructive inspection for forks of rotor blades on the 15th stage of the low-pressure turbine (B) will also be conducted.
