                                                                           ....Appendix
2. Nonconformances Found in the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the
   Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake

   Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the Inspection
   and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake", the Tokyo
   Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing
   incidents information reported from March 6th to March 12th, 2008.

○ Incidents Information (relating to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake)
Incidents Information (relating to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake)
<Reports from Mar. 6 to Mar. 12, 2008>
Reports from Feb. 28 to Mar. 5, 2008
○ Other Findings • Unit No.7: Forks of the 14th-stage rotor blades of the low-pressure turbine (C) have been inspected since March 7 and based on visual inspection after all forks were removed from the turbine, no additional damage was found. Ultrasonic testing and penetration testing will be conducted on rotor blade forks. Fracture surface analysis on the damaged fork revealed "beach marks" - striation patterns - characteristic of fracture caused by metal fatigue. Detailed investigation will be continued. • Solid waste storage warehouse: 21,801 drums have been confirmed as of February 29th, 2008. • Information on Nonconformances (those related to: the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake; Grades As, A, B, C, D; and non-graded)
* Numbers are corrected due to incidents that had been double-counted (11 cases), unrelated to the earthquake (4 cases), not applicable as nonconformance (3 cases), and an addition of a nonconformance incident.
