We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and
nonconformances at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after
the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake.
1. Inspection/Restoration Status

2. Nonconformances Found in the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after
the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake
Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the Inspection
and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake", the Tokyo
Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing
incidents information reported from April 10th to April 16th, 2008.

○ Other Findings
Unit No.7:
Partial breakages were found on forks of 2 rotor blades on the turbine-side of
14th-stage of the low-pressure turbine (B) and (C). Investigation of the causes
and detailed inspection are going on. Non-destructive inspection was conducted
for fixtures of rotor fork of the 14th-stage of the low-pressure turbine (A), (B)
and (C) (announced on March 13th, March 19th, March 27th, April 3rd and April 10th,
2008).
As a result, indication was not found.
Investigation on the cause of the damages and the indication will be continued
as well as the visual inspection and non-destructive inspection for forks of rotor
blades on the 15th and 16th stages of the low-pressure turbine (B) which have the
same structure as forks of rotor blades on 14th stage.
