○ Other Findings
Unit No.7:
As for the inspection for forks of the 14th-stage rotor blades of the low-pressure
turbine (C), damage was found on a part of one rotor blade on March 3rd, 2008.
Detailed inspection to verify the soundness of the relevant part has been conducted
since March 7th, 2008, and based on visual inspection, no additional damage was
found (announced on March 13, 2008)
Subsequently, non-destructive inspection was conducted for forks of 151 rotor blades
except for the one already found to be damaged. As a result, indications were found
on the fork of 17 rotor blades. Investigation on the cause of the indication will be
conducted as well as visual and non-destructive inspection for other forks of the
14th-stage rotor blades of the low-pressure turbine (A), (B) and (C).
