Memorandum of Understanding with China Huadian Green Energy Co.,Ltd. on Cooperation for Energy Infrastructure Business in Third Countries

JERA Co., Inc. (“JERA”) and TEPCO Fuel & Power, Inc. (“TEPCO FP”) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with China Huadian Green Energy Co., Ltd. (“Huadian GE”) on cooperation for energy infrastructure business in third countries. It was agreed the Japan-China Forum on Third Country Business Cooperation held today.
The MOU was concluded on October 25, by three parties, JERA, TEPCO FP and Huadian GE, for the purpose of studying a potential cooperation in the energy infrastructure business including power generation and LNG related businesses. It was signed by Chairman Hendrik Gordenker of JERA, President Seiji Moriya of TEPCO FP and Chairman Xie Chunwang of Huadian GE.
Huadian GE is a subsidiary of China Huadian Corporation, one of the major Chinese power generation companies, mainly engaging in the energy infrastructure business at home and abroad.
Both JERA and TEPCO FP will continuously leverage their accumulated experience and technical expertise in the energy value chain, and actively participate in developing the energy infrastructure business working with partners in Japan and overseas countries.
