Greeting

TEPCO Fuel & Power, Incorporated was established in April 2016as a core operating company of the TEPCO Group responsible for fuel and thermal power generation business. Thereafter, we began the process of integration with JERA, a company formed jointly with Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc., to cover aspects from fuel upstream operations and procurement to power generation and electricity and gas sales. This integration was completed on April 1, 2019.

JERA is transforming into a global energy entity capable of competing head-to-head with rival companies on world energy markets.
Furthermore, in light of the recent growing global trend towards carbon neutrality, JERA has announced its "JERA Zero CO₂ Emissions 2050" initiative in accordance with which it is examining the introduction of renewable energies and zero emissions thermal power generation, which does not emit CO₂ during the power generation process, with the aim of reducing CO₂ emissions from its domestic and overseas businesses to zero by the year 2050.

Through JERA, we are committed to providing customers in Japan and abroad with stable supplies of globally competitive energy, while raising our corporate value and fulfilling our responsibility to Fukushima.
