TEPCO has a wealth construction experience in underground power system. Many
other utilities (subways, communication cable and water pipes, and other objects)
run below the narrow roads in density-populated area, Tokyo. We have a lot
of achievements in design, construction technology regarding with power cable
tunnel, cable installation and cooling system. We can provide high level and
quality consultancy services on Master Plan, Feasibility Study and so on.
TEPCO has technologies for construction management, such as quality, environment,
schedule, and budget. TEPCO has been preformed a number of power cable tunnel
projects with high quality structures, harmonized with environment, at a reasonable
cost, under reliable supervision and management. Engineers of TEPCO have many
experiences in power cable projects; therefore they don't only have abilities
of construction management, but also these of construction planning, process
control, and cost estimation.
Contents of quality control and schedule control are as follows.
- Quality Control
To specify the quality standard of materials and satisfy these requirements,
quality control on materials and structures are executed for the sake of
securing specified quality and function. If there is a possibility that
quality falls, the standard and construction method are revised and countermeasures
are drafted.
All activities are executed in accordance with TEPCO's safety standard based
on ISO 9000.
- Schedule Control
In schedule control of TEPCO's projects, we constantly check the schedule
and actual progress. If there is a possibility of delay or troubles, the
causes are removed in advance. If unexpected delay or troubles occur, effective
countermeasures are drafted. Therefore, power cable projects of TEPCO have
been progressing smoothly for long time.
For the sake of removing any causes of delay or troubles, we negotiate with
the relevant authorities to minimize the environmental impact particularly
in urban areas, and we have been researching to improve the design and the
construction methods.
