This is follow-up information regarding the water leak from the underground reservoir No. 2 in Fukushima Daiichi NPS.
On April 6, we conducted nuclide analysis of the underground reservoirs.
The results are as follows.
[Underground Reservoir No.1: Drain hole water (sampled at 9:15AM, April 6)]
[Results]
-All β: 6.9×10-2Bq/cm3(Detection limit:3.3×10-2Bq/cm3)
-Chloride concentration: 13ppm
[Underground Reservoir No.2: Leakage detector hole water, northeast side (sampled at 1:56PM, April 6)]
[Results]
-All β: 6.9×103Bq/cm3(Detection limit:3.1×100Bq/cm3)
-Chloride concentration: 500ppm
[Underground Reservoir No.2: Leakage detector hole water, southwest side (sampled at 2:17PM, April 6)]
*Data is not obtained, since the amount of the water necessary for sampling was not obtained.
[Underground Reservoir No.2: Drain hole water, southwest side (sampled at 9:20AM, April 6)]
[Results]
-All β: 4.8×10-2Bq/cm3(Detection limit:3.3×10-2Bq/cm3)
-Chloride concentration: 8ppm
[Underground Reservoir No.2: Drain hole water, northeast side (sampled at 9:25AM, April 6)]
[Results]
-All β: 4.3×101Bq/cm3(Detection limit:3.3×10-2Bq/cm3)
-Chloride concentration: 14ppm
[Underground Reservoir No.3: Drain hole water (sampled at 9:30AM, April 6)]
[Results]
-All β: 1.1×10-1Bq/cm3(Detection limit:3.3×10-2Bq/cm3)
-Chloride concentration: 10ppm
[Underground Reservoir No.4: Drain hole water (sampled at 9:45AM, April 6)]
[Results]
-All β: Below detection limit(Detection limit:3.3×10-2Bq/cm3)
-Chloride concentration: 9ppm
We will conduct additional sampling for the Underground Reservoir No.3 leakage detector hole water to check the leakage from the Underground Reservoir No.3.
