Regarding the implementation of the Briefing Session on Smart Meter Bidding (Mainly for 30A)
Nuclear Damage Liability Facilitation Fund (hereinafter referred to as Fund) and Tokyo Electric Power Company, Incorporated (hereinafter referred to as TEPCO) have announced
implementing the briefing session on the bidding for smart meters required in fiscal 2014 (Mainly for 30A), since February 12, 2014. We made the briefing session on February 20, 2014.
The highlight is as follows:

2.Participating Companies
- 4 suppliers who are seeking to take part in the competitive bidding for smart meters 30A models, and 60A and 120A models with some communication systems required in fiscal 2014.
3.Content
- Give an explanation of the contract period, quantity, bidding schedule and procedures, questions and answers, etc.
4.Further schedule
- Date of bidding: March 14, 2014
- Items for bidding:
30A, Quantity:
approximately 460,000 units
60A and 120A models with some communication systems, Quantity:
approximately 10,000 units
- TEPCO will conclude the contract after price negotiation based on the bidding result. (We are aiming for within late-March to early-April, 2014)
