If it is impossible for a general design to realize facility safety to the high reliability requirement to the facility, special examination / design technology of TEPCO can realize the reliability.
While collapse is expected for the facility such as a transmission steel tower etc. built based on the general design, special examination / design technology of TEPCO can avoid it.

Overhead Transmission Line Dynamic Response Analysis of Power Transmission Lines
The external forces acting on a steel tower - wind loads and seismic force represents such kinds of forces - fluctuate temporally and spatially. Therefore, for both economical and rational tower design, the dynamic response analysis - evaluating temporally and spatially fluctuating loads, modeling those loads, and calculating the stress of each tower member - of towers is needed.

We have developed both load-modeling method and dynamic response analysis method through long term weather observation and response observation. Thus, this analysis technology is available to construct the facilities which combine safety and economical efficiency .

  • Using the steel tower-conductor systems for calculation model. (Fig.1)
  • Input data : wind or seismic wave forms (response analysis of both time domain and frequency domain is available.) (Fig.2)
  • Output data : displacement of the steel tower, stress of each tower member (gives time history response wave form or domain value or statistics) (Fig.3)
