FUKUSHIMA, Japan, Feb. 2 - TEPCO released the results of the internal investigation of the Unit 2 PCV at the Fukushima Daiichi NPS as was mentioned in the previous mail magazines dated Jan 19th and 22nd. Dose and temperature were approximately the same regardless of the height at which measurements were taken. And, dose rates tended to be higher outside the pedestal than inside.
There was no impact on the surrounding environment by the investigation and no significant fluctuations were seen in the temperature of the PCV neither prior to, nor after, the investigation, as mentioned in the bulletin report.
