TEPCO Fuel & Power, Incorporated*1 (hereinafter called TEPCO Fuel & Power) announced that it would transfer existing fuel business (upstream/procurement) and existing overseas power generation/energy infrastructure business to JERA*2 Co., Inc. (hereinafter called JERA) in July, 2016. (announced on December 22, 2015)
TEPCO Fuel & Power today announced that it had concluded an absorption-type split agreement with JERA to transfer its existing fuel business (upstream/procurement), existing overseas thermal IPP business, and replacement of the thermal power station and new business to be conducted by Hitachinaka Generation Co., Inc.*3 to JERA on July 1st, 2016 (be scheduled).
*1 On April 1st, 2016, Tokyo Electric Power Company Incorporated transitioned to holding company system in which Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Incorporated serves as a holding company and TEPCO Fuel & Power, a core business company, inherits fuel and thermal power generation business.

An electric power generation business company that will operate and maintain a new coal-fired thermal power station (approx. 650 MW X 1 unit) to be built and also sell the power generated by the facility.
