Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) has introduced new services which are available from April 1, 2016 along with full liberalization of the electricity retail market. In addition to the introduction of new rate plans matching various types of homes, individual family members, and their lifestyles, the new services include a web service to enhance electricity usage (in Japanese only), a loyalty reward point service based on monthly electricity payments, and a discount service with the purchase of products and services from partner companies.
Advanced reservations for the new rate plans begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016, by phone, and at 9 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016, via the website. The discount service can be applied via the websites or at the stores of partner companies.

The electricity market in Japan is undergoing a major period of change, including full liberalization of the market in April 2016. In order to continue fulfilling responsibility to the Fukushima community and to maintain an inexpensive and stable supply of electric power, it is essential that each company utilize appropriate business strategies based on its expertise and address improvements to the company value of the whole TEPCO group.
TEPCO will transition to a holding company system in April 2016 and establish TEPCO Energy Partner, Incorporated for electricity retail in order to provide better services in the new energy field.

To continue producing new values to customers, TEPCO Energy Partner, Incorporated will supply electricity steadily to secure the usage of and provide services to use electricity more efficiently based on the various lifestyles and life stages of our customers.
In addition, the company aims to be a comprehensive energy service company by expanding its business field and the areas it will serve.

Under the new brand slogan, "The Energy for Every Challenge," TEPCO group will continue to fulfill its responsibility to the Fukushima community and provide new valuable services to customers, which will lead to a sustainable revenue base for Fukushima revitalization and improvements to the company value.
