Yesterday, the three company, Nippon General Food Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi; President: Tsukasa Nishiwaki), Tokyo Living Service Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa, Tokyo; President: Hiroshi Miyamoto) and Torifuji Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Futaba, Fukushima; President: Hideto Fujita) established "Fukushima Revitalization Meal Service Center Co., Ltd." (hereinafter referred to as New Company) which plays the role of cooking and catering meals for workers at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.
Tokyo Electric Power Company Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as TEPCO) started the construction of Meal Service Center at Ohkuma town, Futaba County, Fukushima Prefecture in May, and in July concluded the outsource agreement with Tousoufudousankanri Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Tousoufudousan- -kanri) regarding the operation of this center.
And today, New Company and Tousoufudousankanri concluded the outsource agreement regarding cooking and catering at Meal Service Center.
The purpose of New Company is to improve the dietary life of workers at Fukushima Daiichi by offering meals steadily and hygienically. It procures food and cooks for approximately 3,000 meals at most per day and caters at New Office Building and Large Rest House.
In preparation for the commencement of Meal Service Center on April 1, 2015, TEPCO will employ local people and purchase local food preferentially to contribute to the revitalization of Fukushima.
TEPCO and Tousoufudousankanri together with New Company, gaining understanding and cooperation from local residents and related parties, will continue to improve the dietary life at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and address the long-term decommissioning work safely and steadily.
