The Unit 1 of the Group 4 of Futtsu Thermal Power Station (Station Chief: Kenji Obara, location: Shintomi 25, Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture, rated output: 507MW, fuel: LNG, kind of power generation: 1,500°C grade combined cycle power generation system, business operation started: October, 2010) of TEPCO was shut down at 1:03 PM on May 22, as the temperature of gas turbine blades had risen exceptionally.
We inquire what has caused blades to heat irregularly and will repair them. But as for now, the failure-recovery schedule has not yet been set.
We estimate that today's supply capacity is 39.55GW, and rate of electricity demand is 82 %.
