We have today received advance consent from Kariwa Village regarding underground filter vent facilities in Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station Unit 6 and 7, according to the safety agreement.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Kariwa Village Mayor, Mr. Shinada, and all those involved.
We will continue to pursue safety measure to further improve reliability of the power station, and do our utmost effort to provide information and explain issues to local communities in a careful and straightforward manner.
