Six fuel assemblies, which are all spent fuels, loaded into the cask placed inside the pool today
Fukushima, Japan, Nov. 26, 2013-TEPCO announced today that they have completed the first day work for the second fuel removal from the Unit 4 spent fuel pool at Fukushima Daiichi NPS. Six fuel assemblies, which are all spent fuels, were loaded into the cask, and all the work for the day completed at 6:32 PM. TEPCO will continue the fuel removal process tomorrow with extra caution.
On Nov 22, the first completion of the fuel removal was successfully conducted with all unused fuel. TEPCO has conducted a work procedure review of the first fuel removal. The extraction work started at 9:00 AM today.
