This is follow-up information on defect with the emergent nitrogen gas separation apparatus.
From 11:05 AM to 12:15 PM today (on November 20), we conducted a manual starting test*, and found no abnormality, and that its operation had no problem.
(*When conducting the test, we formulated an operational procedure premising that an air actuating valve in a supply line of the emergent nitrogen gas separation apparatus were regularly ‘opened fully.')
At 11:05 PM, based on this outcome, we determined that we could meet the restriction of the operation settled in the security of the specified reactor facilities Part 1, Article 25, ‘One nitrogen separation apparatus is in operation and an emergent nitrogen gas separation apparatus (including a diesel power generator for emergent nitrogen gas separation apparatuses) is ready to start.'
We will replace and repair the valve as soon as the preparation is ready.
