At around 6:31 PM today (on October 4), the system C of the multi-nuclide removal equipment (ALPS) was activated after performing a temporal countermeasure, based on an investigation and a recurrence prevention measure, regarding the system C, which had been suspended at around 6:43 AM today (on October 4) due to the issue of "Process abnormality". (Previously announced)
In order to resume the treatment at the system A of multi-nuclide removal equipment (ALPS), the batch treatment tank for the system C will accept liquid waste produced when replacing an absorbent of the system A. Therefore, the system C will temporally stop* accepting and treating RO waste water from October 5 to 8.
*The system C of the multi-nuclide removal equipment (ALPS) will be kept under a circulation standby condition, but not a standstill condition.
The system C of the multi-nuclide removal equipment (ALPS) will resume accepting and treating RO waste water, as soon as the absorbent of the system A is replaced.
