Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report 2013

At 12:20 PM today (on October 2), a TEPCO employee found that water level inside the dike of H8-south area (where welding tanks storing RO concentrated saltwater are being installed) had risen due to the effects of the typhoon, and the accumulated water (rainwater) had crossed the dike.

Therefore, at 1:09 PM on the same day, we started transferring the accumulated water inside the dike to the tank H8.

The leakage amount of the accumulated water (rainwater) from this dike is currently evaluated in detail.
