At around12:04 AM on September 27, a hot test (a test operation utilizing waste fluid treated in the water treatment facility) was started for the system C of the multi-nuclide removal equipment. At 10:37 PM on the same day, the system C was suspended since a decreased flow rate was found in a line where slurry* was ejected from the batch treatment in the pretreatment facility.
After we completed water drainage inside the batch treatment tank and checked the inside of the tank via camera, we found a rubber pad used for ladder lifting up and down inside the tank, and collected the pad.
At 2:38 AM on September 30, treatment of contaminated water at the system C of the multi-nuclide removal equipment resumed.
*Liquid containing sediments produced by mixing treated water and ferric chloride, caustic soda, and polymer, for the purpose of removing α-isotope etc.
