At around 12:20 AM today (on September 27, 2013), an associated company worker, who was on a patrol of the F tank area (north of Unit 6), found water was dripping one drop about every 20 seconds near the exit valve of the tank A7, and found the trace of leakage near the exit valve of the tank A9 (a paddle of approx. 3cm x 3 cm).
Accumulated groundwater of Unit 5, 6 Turbine Building is stored in the tank A7 and A9.
Dropping water remains in the dike, and we are now installing a container to receive the dropping water near the exit valve of the tank A7 and A9.
Since the location where this incident occurred is dark and it is difficult to secure safety to investigate the site, we will start the detailed site investigation from today's morning.
We will announce the status soon after it is ready.
