This is follow-up information on influence of rainfall from the approaching typhoon on Fukushima Daiichi NPS.
Due to rainfall from the approaching typhoon, we released rainwater accumulated inside the dikes for contaminated water storage tanks. We have stopped the water release given that the amounts of water inside the dikes decreased by the water release and that the weather has improved.
On the accumulated rainwater inside the dikes, we conducted sampling and all-β radioactivity analysis by simplified measurement again before releasing it to the outside of the dikes. We would like to announce the results.
Given below are water release periods, water depths after the water release, and analysis results on water then about to be released.
(Tank area name) (Water release period) (Water depths after water release) (Analysis result)
· C area (east) 12:42 to 3:51 PM Approx. 2 cm 8Bq/L
· C area (west) 1:50 to 3:26 PM Approx. 9 cm 20Bq/L
· E area 1:30 to 4:14 PM Approx. 6 cm 10Bq/L
· G4 area (south) 2:20 to 4:33 PM Approx. 14 cm 6Bq/L
· G6 area (north) 1:20 to 4:26 PM Approx. 3 cm 15Bq/L
· G9 area 1:50 to 3:38 PM Approx. 4 cm 9Bq/L
· G9 area (west) 1:50 to 3:38 PM Approx. 3 cm 5Bq/L
