This is follow-up information on the "water leak at a tank in the H4 area in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station" found on August 19.
We performed the analyses of tritium in water sampled yesterday (on September 13) in observation holes (E-1: in north of the tank No.5 in Group I in the H4 area (outside of a dike) where water leakage was found; E-2 in south of the tank No.5 in Group I in the H4 area (outside of a dike) where water leakage was found) around H4 tank area.
The result of tritium at E-1 has been increasing since the previous day and was higher than the result obtained on September 12 (130000Bq/L).
Based on the possibility of influence on these results by leakage in H4 area tanks and leakage from the concentrated salt water transportation pipe treated with desalination apparatus (reverse osmosis membrane type) on March 26 and April 5 in 2012, we will continue to monitor the situation
We observed no remarkable change of the analyzed data of tritium at E-2, compared to the samples on September 12.
