We would like to make an announcement on sampling results regarding the water leak at a tank in the H4 area in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (sampled at the south water outlet and the drainage channel on September 12).
Result of all β obtained at the point B-3 (at the point before reaching the junction of the drainage channels B and C, 2400 Bq/L) was higher than that of in the past (380 - 920 Bq/L). We consider that the detection level was high due to the remaining water after cleaning of the drainage channel B, where water of the point B-3 has accumulated.
With regard to the result of all β obtained at the point C-2, which was increased yesterday, it was below the detection limit value (11 Bq/L) this time. We attributed this result to the work performed at the upstream side of the point C-2. In the other locations, no remarkable change was found compared to the previous measurement results.
We could not perform the sampling at the point B-1 and the point B-2 of the drainage channel B, since there was no water left.
We are determined to continue analyses and monitor the situation.
