This is follow-up information on the "water leak at a tank in the H4 area in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station" found on August 19.
We performed the analysis of tritium (sampled on September 5) and all β (sampled on September 6) in water in a newly dug-up observation hole (E-2: in south of a dike of the tank No.5 in I Group in the H4 area with water leakage) around H4 tank area. The results were as follows.
<Observation hole: E-2>
Tritium (sampled on September 5): Below the detection limit value (detection limit value: 120Bq/L)
All β (sampled on September 6): 180Bq/L
The result of tritium in water sampled on September 5 was below the detection limit value, which was the same as the previous result on September 4.
The amount of all β (180Bq/L) in water sampled on September 6 has been decreasing compared to the previous amount (650Bq/L sampled on September 4; 330Bq/L sampled on September 5).
We are determined to continue analyses and monitor of the situation.
