This is follow-up information on the "water leak at a tank in the H4 area in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station" found on August 19.
On September 4, we performed the analysis of water in a newly dug-up observation hole (E-2: in south of a dike of the tank No.5 in I Group in the H4 area with water leakage) around H4 tank area. The result of tritium in water was below the detection limit value (detection limit value: 120 Bq/L).
<New observation hole: E-2 (sampled on September 4)>
Tritium: Below the detection limit value (detection limit value: 120Bq/L)
All β: 650Bq/L (previously announced)
Based on the results, we are determined to continue analyses and monitor of the situation in case that contaminated water should soak in ground and reach groundwater at the point.
