At around 9:15 AM today (on September 5), a TEPCO employee found that the jib part (a crane arm) of a 600-ton crawler crane operated for debris removal in the upper part of Unit 3 Reactor Building has been bent down, and that its connecting part to the main mast was damaged.
So far, neither personal injury nor damage to other facilities has been reported. We found no abnormalities in the Unit 3 plant parameters, etc.
We will conduct detailed investigation.
