This is follow-up information on the "water leak at a tank in the H4 area in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station" found on August 19.
We performed the analysis of water sampled yesterday (on September 4) in a newly dug-up observation hole (E-2: in south of a dike of the tank No.5 in I Group in the H4 area with water leakage) around H4 tank area.
<New observation hole: E-2>
All β (sampled on September 4):650Bq/L
Based on the results, it is assumed that contaminated water diluted with rainwater etc. soaked in ground, and that the contaminated water might have reached groundwater, therefore we continue analyses and monitor of the situation.
We are determined to analyze other observation holes around H4 area tank, and to specify the range of the area where water leaked from tanks and soaked in ground.
