This is follow-up information on the latest situation concerning the detection of high densities of Tritium and Strontium in the observation hole at the east side of the Unit 1-4 Turbine Buildings of Fukushima Daiichi NPS.
We would like to announce measurement results for cesium, all-β, etc. in water sampled yesterday (on August 29) from the groundwater observation holes east of Units 1-4 Turbine Buildings, as we obtained the results.
This time, the cesium-134 and cesium-137 densities increased from the previous values (in the samples taken on August 26).
<Measurement results on the groundwater observation hole No.1>
· Cesium-134 : 13Bq/L (Previous value: below the detection limit value / the past highest value: 3.2Bq/L)
· Cesium-137 : 31Bq/L (Previous value: 0.84Bq/L / the past highest value: 4.3Bq/L)
No significant change was found in the densities in the other observation holes.
We will sample water of the groundwater observation hole No.1, which showed an increase, again and make confirmation on the densities.
