This is follow-up information on the "water leak at a tank in the H4 area in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station" found on August 19.
At 4:50 PM today (on August 29), water transfer from Tank No.3 in Group II to Tank No.10 in Group B, within the H4 area, was temporarily suspended. This is because, as the approach of Typhoon No.15 this weekend is expected to leave rainwater accumulated inside the dikes, Tank No.10 in Group B in the H4 area may be used as a tank into which accumulated rainwater, if any, will be transferred.
After the transfer was suspended, we patrolled and checked on the site, and found no abnormality such as leakage.
