This is a follow-up report on the statuses of an alarm indicating high radiation dose went off at the continuous dust monitor installed in front of the Main Anti-earthquake Building at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station today (On August 12).
Water mist is sprayed in front of the Main Anti-earthquake Building to prevent heat stroke. The bodies of 10 people who waited for a bus in front of the Main Anti-earthquake Building was found to be contaminated by the exit monitor measurement at the Entrance Control Building.
The cause of the contamination is considered that the water mist from a mist generator was contaminated. Currently, the detail is being investigated, and we will announce soon after it is ready.
Since 1:25 PM on the same day, the mist generator has been suspended.
