This is a follow-up report on the statuses of an alarm went off indicating the suspension of a booster pump and the detection of leakage at around 2:22 PM today (on August 10), when the second cesium adsorption apparatus (SARRY) was in operation.
As we check the site status, no abnormality in operation condition of the booster pump was found. However, puddle was found around a leakage detector of the adsorption tower area.
Dew was condensed at the adsorption tower and pipes and reached to the leakage detector. Since radiation dose rate of the puddle was the same level as that of the surrounding area (background), we judged that the puddle was dew condensation water.
We will wipe off the puddle.
There is no abnormality in operation condition of the SARRY (flow rate, pressure, etc.).
