This is a follow-up report on the statuses of an alarm went off indicating the suspension of a booster pump and the detection of leakage, and the second cesium adsorption apparatus (SARRY) was suspended.

The suspended booster pump was in B system, and an alarm indicating an abnormality of the cesium adsorption tower was found to be set off as a result of an inspection of an alarm panel at the site.

The detailed site investigation which is to identify the cause and start-up preparation of the pending booster pump (A) will be started from this morning (July 31).

Although treatment of the second cesium adsorption apparatus (SARRY) was suspended, there is approx. 7 days of margin to receive the accumulated water to the Central Radioactive Waste Treatment Facility (the High Temperature Incinerator Building and the Process Main Building). In addition, approx. 12 days worth water for injection to the reactor is secured at the condense storage tank and the desalination system.
