This is follow-up information regarding the water leak from the underground reservoirs at Fukushima Daiichi NPS since April 5, 2013.
We would like to announce the results of sampling performed in the underground reservoirs today (July 11).
Measurement results obtained today fell below those obtained yesterday (July 10) at 4 observation holes (A13, A14, A16 and A19) around the underground reservoir No.1.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Observation hole A13
July 11: 3.0 x 10-2Bq/cm3
(July 10: 5.4 x 10-2Bq/cm3)
- Observation hole A14
July 11: Below the detection limit [2.8 x 10-2Bq/cm3]
(July 10: 3.9 x 10-2Bq/cm3)
- Observation hole A16
July 11: 3.3 x 10-2 Bq/cm3
(July 10: 1.5 x 10-1Bq/cm3)
- Observation hole A19
July 11: Below the detection limit [2.8 x 10-2Bq/cm3]
(July 10: 1.1 x 10-1Bq/cm3)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No significant change was found with the other analysis results (chloride concentration).
The cause of the increase in all β amount will be investigated, and the water level, etc. of the underground reservoirs will continue to be intensively monitored.
